Multiplicity

First tutorial, wow, I’m really not worthy to share something of this sort since I’m also a newbie in photography and post processing. Anyway, here’s the first one:
Multiplicity - Not sure what this technique is called...gif)
Saw some guys asking how one group hug in DPP was made (honestly, i was also intruiged how it was made)...gif)
So I experimented on what very little I know of on layers and mask and came out with my own version
:
Work flow:
The shot..
1) Set camera on manual mode, preferably around f8 or f11, shutter speed depends on the available light so try to experiment on this one.
2) Take as many shots as you want(try two shots first) without changing the position of the camera, only the models should shift positions and try to add some drama on the shot (mine was supposed to be a fight scene..hehehe)
Post processing (I’m using Gimp, though I think the same workflow applies for PS)..
1) Open the first image, open the Layers dialog. Click on the new layer button at the bottom of the dialog. Make sure the new layer is selected in the layers dialog.
2) Open the second image, select all and copy paste on the first image. Anchor second image to the first image.
3) On the new layer, add layering mask (white - full opacity), try to set opacity at around 20-30, so you will see the details of both pictures.
4) Using brushes, brush over the images on the background that you want to come out on the foreground (I’m not making sense here.hehehe).
5) After making the background image visible in the foreground, go to the layers dialog and put set opacity to 100..
Done..Now you should be able to see both images on one picture(hopefully)hehehe..
