lying in quandary, i stare at the vast stillness of the night,
fighting the madness and the ravaging thoughts that over comes,
leap of faith and unsure, unsettled and obscure,
hoping tonight the enigma will fade,
before i tumble and drown, to the abyss cascade,
as i wait and pray in utter dismay,
desiring to death this quandary may,
stop all doubts that shadows and play,
give me the answers, show me the way
and all through the night I’ll slumber and lay
